The State Police's road education campaign in South Tyrolean schools is underway
With the start of the new school year, the activities of the Police Police for promote the culture of road safety among young people of the Italian and German language schools in South Tyrol with various projects, including “Icaro","ABC – Brenner Motorway in the City","Blue Coach” and more.
Young people are the primary recipients of communication on the subject of road safety, not only because the accident represents for them the leading cause of death (before illness and drugs) but above all because the kids, already protagonists of the street as pedestrians, cyclists and moped drivers, are the generation of future drivers and the best spokesmen for the message of legality with the adult world. During the meetings, depending on the target, the kids are sensitized on very important issues that concern their and others' safety.
The first institute to join this initiative was the lower secondary school “R. Riedl” of Termeno (BZ), with three meetings held on 10 and the 17 October, In presence of 59 second grade students, followed by the secondary school “Galileo Galilei” of Bolzano with all the first classes (78 students between 14 and 15 years old).
