On Sunday 22nd September, the Italian Grand Prix of the Superbike World Championship was opened by Fanfare of the 3rd Carabinieri Regiment “Lombardia”, who played the National Anthem at the opening of the match.
The musical group, particularly fond of the Cremona reality where it has already performed on the occasion of some concerts at the prestigious Ponchielli Theatre and in other venues, with his performance he contributed to increasing, in front of those present but above all in front of a world-class television audience, the value and organizational level of the important event, exalting the capabilities and excellence of the territory.
Furthermore, during the three days of the event, it was possible for all spectators to visit one Arma exhibition stand with vehicles and equipment related to the world of speed and road traffic, as well as information and dissemination material, especially aimed at young people, on the main issues of safety and legality.
Among these, in particular, the static display of the motorbike MV Agusta F4 RR Bicentenary, a very special version in unique example of the Italian SBK created by the well-known motorcycle manufacturer to celebrate, in 2014, the 200th Annual Foundation of the Carabinieri, painted in the livery of the Gazelle of the Radiomobile Nuclei that we see on our roads every day.
The F4 sports the classic dark blue base with the red lightning bolt on the side and tailpiece and the white on the upper part of the windshield, tank and tailpiece. On the side fairing the “Carabinieri” writing is embellished with the flame logo and the number 200 in red.
The bike is celebratory and for this reason it will never enter active service (for this reason it does not mount the expected standard equipment such as sirens, radios and antennas). It would certainly be a good deterrent against ill-intentioned people... considering the power and performance it could deliver: 201 hp at 13.600 rpm for a torque of 111 Nm at 9.600 rpm, plus latest-generation electronic controls and a top-level chassis with Öhlins for the suspension and Brembo for the brakes.
The stand of the Provincial Command of the Carabinieri of Cremona will be flanked by the gazebos set up by the Command of the Forestry, Environmental and Agri-food Units of the Carabinieri through the branches of the Carabinieri Biodiversity Group, to raise awareness on the issue of protection of biological diversity with the creation of the “Biodiversity Village”.
Each gazebo will be dedicated to a specific theme connected to the conservation and safeguarding of biodiversity, with the aim of promoting, both in the youngest and in adults, the culture of legality and sustainability, through a virtual journey that will lead to the discovery of the natural habitats of our country, highlighting the importance of the conservation of the forest genetic heritage and the ecosystem functions of trees, as well as the animal and plant complexity.
The aim of the outreach activity is to raise awareness of the need for a holistic and informed approach to environmental components, in the perspective of an essential symbiosis between man and nature, in a territory, that of Cremona, which is at the same time rich and delicate.
