Rome, new street art in the Settecamini district.
Rome is ready to welcome a new masterpiece of international urban art thanks to Street Art For Rights, the festival that since 2020 wants to tell and spread the culture of sustainability through street art. At the center of the project i 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN 2030 agenda: the idea is to filter the 17 Goals with the eye of contemporary art by promoting the creation of 17 wall works by different street artists with a view to bringing social, economic and cultural issues onto the walls of the peripheral neighborhoods of the capital, in areas known for very difficult situations.
Respect for the environment and art therefore come together in street art, that is, the figurative language born in the street. The main purpose of this artistic expression is, in fact, the redevelopment of the suburbs through the beautification of existing buildings and civic structures. Fighting the grayness of concrete with the liveliness of colours, making cities more beautiful and livable and at the same time transmitting messages directly, without filters or censorship. Even streets and walls can become a means of denouncing the causes of climate change. Thus writers and artists from all over the world, thanks to Street Art For Rights, give the Capital moments of reflection with works that raise people's awareness of respect for the environment.
After the works of Attorep, Natalia Rak, Barbara Oizmud, Manuela Merlo aka HUMAN, NSN997, Davide Toffolo and Marqus, let's discover a preview of the finished wall by Etnik created in the Settecamini district.
