Rome: Circus Maximus | The 24th edition of the "Race for the Cure" opens today.
From 4 to 7 May, at the Circus Maximus, the usual appointment with the event will take place “Race for the Cure”, event dedicated to Women in Pink who are facing or have faced breast cancer, true protagonists of the cultural change in the approach to the disease.
In particular today's morning, in the presence of the Police Commissioner of Rome, the leaders of the Armed Forces, the Honored Councilor and Councilor Pratelli, Prof. Riccardo Masetti, President of Komen Italia and the historical godmother, the actress Mariagrazia Cucinotta, The Race For The Cure Village was inaugurated, within the splendid setting of the Circus Maximus.
The Camper of the countryside of State Police “This is not love” took part in the first day of the event. The specialized personnel of the Anti-Crime Division, the UPGSP, the Flying Squad and the Health Office of the Rome Police Headquarters welcomed the citizens present in the Village, distributing material, information brochures and answering numerous questions. The State Police took the opportunity to bring together two important themes, namely women's health and their safety, during the "Race for the Cure", the largest charity event for the fight against breast cancer and women's health in general, which takes place under the High Patronage of the President of the Republic and with the patronage of the main Institutions and Armed Forces.
