The film - recalls the vice president – was previewed at the 20th edition of the 'Authors' Days' in the 'Venetian Nights' section at the Venice Film Festival. It was also presented in Nairobi, Kenya, in the coming months also in Japan in Tokyo, in Portugal in Lisbon and in other important international festivals".
“Semidei, written by Armando Maria Trotta, Giuseppe Smorto, Massimo Razzi and Fabio Mollo, retraces half a century of history by telling the story of the Riace Bronzes, the two mysterious warriors who re-emerged from the sea of Riace in 1972, after two thousand years spent under waterfall. Through interviews, unpublished documents, direct testimonies and the story of a present in turmoil, the two filmmakers accompany the viewer on a journey into our past and future, because the Riace Bronzes embody the desires for the future, peace and beauty that animate the human race has always been. The documentary will retrace significant historical periods thanks to precious archive materials and the evocative testimonies of experts and historians. The docufilm has already been much appreciated by the students of the City of Reggio Calabria during the matinees reserved for them, which have always been sold out", concludes Vice President Princi.
