Ravenna: a series of three meetings dedicated to parents of adolescents on the use of the web and video games is starting.
Use of the Internet, social networks, hyperconnectivity are topics that are increasingly discussed, also in light of recent campaigns that have had media coverage regarding the proposal to limit by law the use of social networks and smartphones for adolescents.
Ravenna: a series of three meetings dedicated to parents of adolescents on the use of the web and video games is starting.
It starts on Thursday 10th October at 20.30pm series of meetings aimed at parents of teenagers, with the aim of enabling them to get to know the web environment betterattended by their children and reflect on what it means to be a teenager in the age of the Internet. We start with the psychologist and psychotherapist Chiara Pracucci, which will talk about the image and virtual identity of adolescents. The topic of the use of social networks, ofdisplaying your images online, of online reputation.
On Thursday 17 October, again at 20.30 pm, we will talk about Games with an educator passionate about games and video games, Fabio Bianchini. What are the most used video games, how to recognize and prevent the risks of excessive or harmful use, but also how video games can contribute to the growth of adolescents and give them social skills and new knowledge.
Finally, on Thursday 24 October at 20.30 pm the meeting is with the lawyer Giordana Pasini, who will introduce the parents to those who are the possible crimes committed or suffered by adolescents, and what are the parental responsibilities also based on their age.
Use of the internet, social networks, hyperconnection are topics that are being discussed more and more often, also in light of recent campaigns that have had media coverage with respect to the proposal of limit the use of social networks by law and smartphones to teenagers. The meetings will allow to deepen the knowledge of the topic discussed and to discuss with experts.
All meetings are free and online, last approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes and include dialogue and the possibility to ask questions.
The cycle is organized within the framework of the PASSI project – Prossimità e Accompagnamento Solidale per il Supporto e l’Inclusione, funded by the Department for Family Policies – Presidency of the Council of Ministers to the Municipality of Ravenna and a series of partners including Villaggio Globale social cooperative. The Family Center and the ESC Help Desk participate in the organization.
