Pesaro, a cleaner city thanks to the new "mini sweeper": ideal conditions for "a summer as the Capital of Italian Culture".

The new electric mini-sweeper that the Municipality of Pesaro requested from Marche Multiservizi to enhance the cleaning of the narrowest streets and the most complex to reach for the normal means supplied.

«A new tool that will help us keep the historic center even cleaner and a service that is added, thanks to the collaboration with MMS – underlines Enzo Belloni, Operations Councilor -. The mini-sweeper will allow us to have an increasingly tidy Pesaro, also in view of the year and this "summer of Italian capital of culture"; it will allow us to have more strength to give greater answers to citizens, even to the less educated ones who perhaps do not immediately collect or throw water on the excrement of their animals", a behavior for which the Regulation for the protection and decorum of cultural heritage of the historic center of Pesaro, provides for a fine of 100 euros.

Already active, the mini-street sweeper will be used in the historic center and in the seaside area every day. «It is a vehicle equipped with rotating brushes – he specifies Franco Macor, director of the Environment Marche Multiservizi function - but it also functions as a vacuum cleaner. Furthermore, it is equipped with a lance that sprays water or specific detergents, for example products with those enzymes useful for eliminating bad odors. It will be effective for cleaning the guano and excrement abandoned in the streets of the historic center and in those sections of Bicipolitana that run along the seafront."
