Tuesday October 10 (21pm) the inaugural concert of the 64th Season sees the return of the FORM Marchigiana Philharmonic Orchestra to the Rossini Theater in Pesaro, directed by the artistic director of the Concert Authority Federico Mondelci in the dual role of conductor and saxophone soloist, in an extraordinary musical journey through images entitled Movie theater.

Il unbreakable bond that links music to cinema since its inception is well represented in this fascinating concert, which includes the two strands that have always accompanied the history of the soundtrack: the great pages of classical music borrowed for the film and the work of composers , like the Italians Rota and Morricone, who created expressly at the request of great directors - Fellini, Visconti, Coppola, Kubrick -, contributing to the success of cult films. The concert represents a large fresco of the themes that have marked some of the most iconic films of the 900th century: Amarcord, Rocco and his brothers, The Clowns, La Strada, The Leopard, La Dolce Vita, Otto e ½, The Untouchables, Nuovo Cinema Paradiso, Marco Polo, The Legend by Pianist on the Ocean, Eyes Wide Shut, Barry Lindon.
Mondelci recalls how: “the famous Sarabande from Handel's Suite in D minor was considered perfect by Kubrick for his Barry Lindon and the scenes from that exceptional film remain vivid and unforgettable to everyone today. For many years I have wanted to include this piece in one of my Pesaro programs: it is one of the most loved pieces by the late Guidumberto Chiocci, long-time president of the Concert Authority, a sort of intimate homage to the memory of a companion of many musical adventures" .
