Pesaro: it's Cagli week with new guided excursions and exhibitions

The Municipality of Cagli is the protagonist of '50x50: Capitals squared' with the program "Dans l'éternité les choses de l'homme", offering a week full of cultural events, exhibitions and engaging initiatives.

Pesaro: it's Cagli week with new guided excursions and exhibitions.

Until April 14th the Municipality of Cagli is the new protagonist of '50×50: Capitals squared', the symbolic project of Pesaro 2024 which sees the fifty Municipalities of the Province of Pesaro and Urbino, in turn, Capital for a week in 2024; special partner '50×50 Capital squared' Banca di Pesaro – Cooperative Credit.

The rich program is entitled 'Dans l'éternité les choses de l'homme' and offers days full of opportunities including exhibitions, trekking, new stages of 'Hidden castles', editorial presentations and much more thanks also to the involvement of local schools. The inevitable Cosa c'è DOP events will be present.

Present at the conference were: Daniele Vimini, deputy mayor and councilor for beauty of the municipality of Pesaro; for Cagli, the mayor Alberto Alessandri and the deputy mayor with responsibility for culture Benilde Marini; Sandro Pascucci director of the Theater and curator of the Contemporary Sculpture Center, Agnese Trufelli deputy director of Confcommercio Marche Nord, Andreina De Tomassi and Antonio Sorace/Casa degli Artisti di Sant'Anna del Furlo, Mariella Gnani professor restorer of the School of Conservation and Restoration of the University of Urbino, the teachers Silvia Moscioni and Metella Ragni, the artist Giovanni Termini.

Thus Daniele Vimini: Cagli responded strongly to the call from Capitale, it did so with a great program of these days, with an articulated story on the territory that touches the essence of the themes of Pesaro 2024 creating culture also through hospitality.

The highly attended calendar is also created thanks to the contribution of the Cassa di Risparmio di Pesaro Foundation, thus managing to strengthen the proposal of the project which will go beyond the week with a long breath and will also continue the next few months during the year.

Many artists and schools are involved, implementing all lines of creative action: from the contemporary, to the historical, to the musical part, to trekking up to the food and wine part with the inevitable proposal of Cosa c'è DOP.

The Mayor Albert Alessandri: it is with deep joy and pride that we will play the role of “territorial cultural capital” together with the other 50 'capitals' that give life and identity to the Province of Pesaro Urbino.

We will do this thanks to the cultural fabric that characterizes our city rich in traditions and innovations, in past and contemporary cultural and artistic events, with great local affection and important global prestige. Cagli thus has the opportunity to reiterate its unique being: enthusiastic, proactive, dynamic and ardent as its etymological root dictates. I thank all the people and the associative and entrepreneurial entities, the cultural and artistic subjects, who have given life to a program worthy of a 'Capital'.

Promoted as part of Pesaro 2024 by the Municipality of Cagli and Pesaro Musei, in collaboration with Cariaggi, the exhibition presents a selection of recent and unpublished works, conceived specifically for the occasion.

The three coordinates that orient the project - art, nature, technology - represent as many cornerstones of Termini's work: his sculpture presents itself as an "artefact" that explicitly claims an execution technology, a process open to the dictates of the materials that speaks of the man and his nature.

Firmly located in a space and projected into a temporal dimension, Termini's work is nourished “the very conflicts that he tries, in vain, to quell”.

  • Church of San Francesco RAFFAELLO ORCHESTRA directed by Maestro Stefano Bartolucci.

The Raffaello Orchestra, recently established, through the activities carried out, the collaborations and all the musical projects, has as its main objectives the discovery and valorisation of the most popular operas and the valorisation of soloists from our territory.

The management of this group of musicians with great concert experience behind them is entrusted to the Itinerarte Association of which the main director, Stefano Bartolucci, is the president.

The orchestra, created recently, takes the legacy of another ensemble born in 2006: “The chamber musicians of Montefeltro”. From 2015 to today, thanks to the initiative of this group, the opera seasons of the following theaters have reopened: Rossini of Pesaro (in the winter period), Regina of Cattolica, Sanzio of Urbino, Gentile of Fabriano, Comunale of Cagli, Piermarini of Matelica , Masini di Faenza.

The works that the Orchestra has in its repertoire are the following: Barbiere di Siviglia and Cenerentola by Gioachino Rossini, l'Elisir d'amore by Gaetano Donizetti, Rigoletto and Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi, La Boheme, Tosca and Madama Butterfly by Giacomo Puccini and George Bizet's Carmen.

Public concerts, lesson concerts for schools, editorial publications and audio/video recordings are some of the tools the Ensemble uses to achieve its objectives.

The dissemination of the Italian lyrical heritage is, for these artists, one of the main prerogatives. Educational concerts, conferences for students of all levels, “invitations to the opera”, are carried out regularly in schools in the Marche and Emilia Romagna. Another very important activity carried out since October 2015 is that of "Meetings with music", which is carried out at the Sanzio Theater in Urbino for the University.

A theatre, always sold out, has for several years welcomed both young and promising soloists and very established artists such as Maestro Guido Corti, Davide Simoncini and Mikail Simonyan whom the orchestra, directed by Maestro S.Bartolucci, accompanies in a masterly way.

In the first evening the project will be explained, in the second the Crete will be hand-made using spatulas.

The number of evenings will be relative to the number of participants, however after modeling (1-2 evenings + work at home if necessary) there will be a break of two weeks to allow the clay to dry and be fired. Subsequently, the terracotta obtained will be painted with colors using brushes by the participants.
