Pesaro 2024 celebrating Coppi and Bartali. Ricci, Della Dora, Vimini: «A beautiful spot for the whole territory».

«We were very keen to host the Coppi e Bartali, a cycling race of the highest level and with an international scope, which enriches the extraordinary year of the Italian Capital of Culture». The mayor of Pesaro Matteo Ricci, the councilor for Speed ​​Mila Della Dora, the vice mayor and councilor for Beauty Daniele Vimini greeted the caravan at the starting line and at the arrival of the first stage of the International Week dedicated to the two champions: «a showcase for young promises from the world of cycling, it is a great tourist event for two-wheel enthusiasts, which goes well with Pesaro City of Bicycles and European City of Sport».

For the city and for the Marche it was an absolute first, «a great spot and promotional opportunity for the whole territory". The start from Piazza del Popolo for the Pesaro-Pesaro, then the official departure from Montelabbatese, the caravan touched Montecchio, Borgo Massano, Gallo, Morciola, Tavullia, Gradara (to name a few), arriving at Palla di Pomodoro, Pesaro.

As Mayor Ricci recalled: «In recent years Pesaro has done a lot for two wheels, also collaborating with the Giro d'Italia, which this year will see the province as the protagonist with a beautiful finish in Fano. Then investing in infrastructure, such as our Bicipolitana which has reached 100km, and the cycle track project where local clubs will be able to train. Thanks to the organizers for choosing Pesaro and congratulations to the athletes who made us experience such a wonderful emotion. Long live Coppi and Bartali, long live Pesaro City of Bicycles."
