Pesaro 2024: 'Capital Meetings', Thursday 14 March Beppe Sala inaugurates the 'lectio magistralis'.

With the mayor of Milano Beppe Sala opens, inside 'Capital Encounters', the line of lectio magistralis.

Sala will explain the theme of Pesaro 2024 on Thursday 14 March (Alusfera in Piazza del Popolo, 17.30 pm) with a speech focused on “The importance of culture for a contemporary and international city. The case Milano".

The report will delve into the role of culture as a central element in the economic and social development of a city: something that citizens feed on, that they ask for, but which also represents a powerful tool of integration.

The analysis will also concern the support that culture is able to give to tourism and the need to work on infrastructures (museums and cultural spaces in general) and contents.

Mayor of Milano Since June 2016, Sala has been an executive in internationally renowned companies, starting from Pirelli and Telecom Italia, in 2009 he assumed the position of general director of the Municipality of Milano and in 2013 he was appointed sole delegated commissioner of the government for Exhibition Milano 2015, a role he held at the same time as the company's CEO.

The calendar of lectio magistralis on the theme of Pesaro 2024 - Italian Capital of Culture, will continue on Tuesday 26 March (18.30 pm - Alusfera in Piazza del Popolo) with the participation of Evelina Christillin, president of the Egyptian Museum of Turin since 2012.

'Capital Encounters' is an event promoted by Pesaro 2024 – Italian Capital of Culture 2024, created in collaboration with Passaggi Cultura, the association promoting Passaggi Festival.
