Round tables and opportunities for in-depth analysis and discussion on the topics of environmental, economic and social sustainability are scheduled, as well as workshops, entertainment and musical moments.

From 19 to 21 May in Oristano “Dream, boy, dream” for the Sustainable Development Festival.

After the success of the Festival delle Peschiere, which was held last September in the Marinerie of Oristano, Legacoop Sardegna, with the support of the cultural association Dromos and in collaboration with CRU Unipol and the Sardinia Region – Regional strategy for sustainable development , participates again this year in the Sustainable Development Festival, the large national event scheduled from 8 to 24 May throughout the national territory: an initiative (in its seventh edition) promoted by ASviS - Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development, to raise awareness and mobilize citizens, businesses, associations and institutions on the issues of economic, social and environmental sustainability.
 
It is entitled “Dream, boy, dream” the festival that for three days, from Friday 19th to Sunday 21st May, will hold court at Oristano with a dense series of events dedicated in particular to the issues of young people and the South: a dense and varied programme, with round tables and opportunities for in-depth analysis, dialogue and discussion which will see the participation of authoritative personalities in the field of environmental, economic and social sustainability, but also with workshops, entertainment and musical moments.
 
The initiative takes into account theUN 2030 Agenda, with the aim of reflecting on the various aspects of the sustainability of our societies. The starting point will be the reading of the dynamics of the territory in their complexity, to identify development paths that take into account the environmental, social, economic and institutional interrelationships of the individual communities. The challenge is to highlight that sustainability is not just about the environment, but it represents one integrated vision of the different dimensions of development.
 
The series is concentrated entirely in the first two days round tables scheduled in Corrias Square dedicated to the different key themes of the festival. The first appointment will take place on the morning of Friday 19 to 10 with a focus on Sustainability and the South which – after greetings from the mayor of Oristano Massimiliano Sanna, will see the participation, among others, of the presidents of the CRU (Unipol Regional Councils) of Campania (Peppe Oliviero) and Sicily (Monica Genovese) and the national president Fausto Sacchelli. With theirs, the contributions of are awaited Francesca Raimondi (of the Directorate General for Regional and Urban Policies of the European Commission), Roberto Doneddu (Managing Authority of the POR ESF Sardinia), Flavia Martinelli (member of the Board of Directors of SVIMEZ, association for the development of industry in Southern Italy), Gianluca Cocco (responsible for the regional sustainable development strategy of the Sardinia Region), Francesco Nardone (responsible for institutional relations of Futuridea) e Elena Torri (CreAree manager, CRU Internal Areas Project). Sustainability and differentiated autonomy are the coordinates along which the third series of contributions on the agenda for the opening day of Friday 19th by 17.30. Coordinated by the journalist Giuseppe Meloni, the regional councilor for Environmental Defense will speak Marco Porcu, the president of ASviS (Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development) Pierluigi Stefanini, the president of the Sardinia Foundation James SpissuJoseph Pisauro (professor of Financial Science at the University of Rome “Sapienza”), Omar Chessa (professor of Constitutional Law at the University of Sassari), Maria Del Zompo (member of the Superior Council of Health) e Maria Francesca Ticca (general secretary of UIL Sardinia). To the national president of Legacoop Simone Gamberini the task of closing the works.
 
In the frame of Eleonora square, in the evening, the festival will embrace one of its musical protagonists: spotlights and amplifiers turned on to 21.30 for the concert (free entry upon reservation on the site dromosfestival.it) of the singer-songwriter Roberto Vecchioni, which will move between the most famous songs of his career and those of his most recent album, "L'interno", published in 2018 and awarded a gold record. And precisely from the title of one of his albums (from 1999) and of a song by the Lombard lyricist and poet, the Festival of Sustainable Development borrows the title of the three days of Oristano: "Dream, boy, dream", an exhortation that Vecchioni addresses an imaginary young person to encourage him to persevere in the face of difficulties and to continue to cultivate his ideals; Despite all the evil in the world and the inevitable pitfalls along the way, stopping is not the answer.
 
And the entire day is dedicated to young people Saturday May 20 which will open to 9.30 with a focus on the possible, young and sustainable future. In Corrias square one will be opened exhibition space which will host the workshops on sustainable development carried out by the schools involved. At the same time, an expressive workshop will be held, with the participation of the street artist Manu Invisible, which will see the creation of "idea panels" on Sustainable Development with the young people involved.
 
From 10am to noon instead, an important dialogue and discussion table entitled takes center stage “Young global citizens: views on the future”. Based on the works carried out by the students involved, the youth groups involved in the different realities, the meeting will give the floor back to young people in a dialogue with adults of reference in school, society, culture and politics. Open to discussions with students and representatives of the Youth Council, after greetings from Antonio Franceschi (councillor for youth policies of the Municipality of Oristano) and of Sebastiano Corona (Youth Coordination of the festival “Dream, boy, dream”), the event will host the interventions of Marco Rossi-Doria (president of the social enterprise Con i Bambini and founder of the non-profit organization Maestri di strada), Caterina Satta (researcher and professor of Sociology at the University of Cagliari) e Maria Bonaria Zedda (Environment Councilor of the Municipality of Oristano).

Il pomeriggio di Saturday 20 It kicks off to 15.30 with the exhibition and presentation of the works of Expressive Laboratory which will have been held during the morning, followed, at 16.30, from a table for dialogue and discussion always focused on young people and sustainability; title: “The protagonism of the new generations for the development of communities. What policies?”. The discussion, also on this occasion, will be open to representatives of youth businesses, students, public administrators, cooperators and social workers involved in the territories; coordinated by Andrea Pianu (national vice president and responsible for Sardinia of Legacoop sociali), will speak Andrea Morniroli (co-coordinator of the Inequalities and Diversity Forum and member of the Dedalus social cooperative of Naples), Maria Lucia Piga (president of the degree course in Social Service at the University of Sassari), Michele Schirru (coordinator of Generations, the Legacoop Sardegna network that brings together young cooperators), Emiliano Deiana (president of ANCI Sardinia).
 
Music will once again be the protagonist in the evening on the stage set up in Piazza Eleonora: let's start by 22 disc jockey, composer and producer will alternate Angemi, the rapper Dani Faiv and free styler Sardinian Mattia Cerrito, sample of views on the Tik Tok social network under the name of Hi Iuser. Entrance to the evening, also on this occasion, is free and no reservation is necessary.
 
For the third and final day, Sunday 21, the festival will leave Oristano for two different events between the sea and the ponds; to 9.30, in the nearby Cabras, a guided tour is scheduled to discover the Mar'e Pontis fishpond which will place the relationship between human activity and the environment at the center of visitors' attention, a respectful coexistence that continues over time. At the same time from the marina of Great Tower instead, boats will depart to accompany the participants to discover the Gulf of Oristano. The event is organized in collaboration with the University of Marine Biology of Cagliari, the CEAS center of Oristano and the Fishermen of the Marinerie of Oristano. On board it will be possible to analyze the pollution damage caused to the sea and wildlife by intensive and uncontrolled human action.
