C'è anche il internationally renowned baritone Mario Cassi between the guests of honor at the closing evening of the XXXII edition of the “Il Giogo” Popular Theater Award, scheduled for Saturday July 8th in Church Square. Mario Cassi will receive the prestigious "Giogo d'Argento" award and during the evening he will give all the guests some moments of music and bel canto.

Cassi, born in Arezzo in 1973, is regular guest of the most important international theatres, from Scala by Milano at the Opera National de Paris, from the Arena of Verona to the Sidney Opera House, from the San Carlo in Naples to the Tokyo National Opera. He has collaborated with conductors of the caliber of Roberto Abbado, Yves Abel, Giovanni Antonini, Rinaldo Alessandrini, Marco Armiliato, Paolo Arrivabeni, Bruno Campanella, and many others.

Mario Cassi is now one of the reference interpreters of Rossini's Figaro which he performed with great success in major national and international theatres. In June 2017, President Mattarella appointed him Knight of the Republic of the Order of Merit. In the 2023 he was appointed vice president of the Guido d'Arezzo Foundation.
