Molteno: final of the singing competition dedicated to Lucio Battisti.

The anticipation is growing for the final of the singing competition dedicated to Lucio Battisti which will see its epilogue in Molteno, in the town where the singer from Poggio Bustone decided to live part of his life until his death, which occurred precisely the 9 September, the same day on which the final of the contest will be staged. The competition, created precisely to pay homage to Battisti eighty years after his birth and twenty-five years after his death, could not fail to end on the exact day of his death and above all in Molteno where he rested for a few years even after his premature death . Battisti arrived in Dosso di Coroldo, a hamlet of Molteno, in 73 together with his long-time friend Giulio Rapetti aka Mogol, and from there an incredible series of successes were born that are still very well known to everyone today, without distinction of generation. There will be nine competitors who will compete in the final evening which, another non-random location, will take place in the park of Villa Rosa, where in the first years after his death, many artists came to pay homage to his memory and testify to his greatness .

Nine competitors who came out of the two semi-finals that were staged, first in Mandello on 22 July and then on August 5th in a packed Piazza Garibaldi in Lecco. From the difficult task of the two juries, which selected competitors, not only from the region (one competitor also came from Turin), the nine finalists emerged: Rebecca Salsini – Serena Perillo – Mauro Procida – Chiara Butti – Iannice Silvestro – Lubemi – Carmen Bicchierai – Daviz Brett and Giorgia Guerra. After Dario Baldan Bembo, who was the guest in the Mandello episode and after Coruslain who recomposed in honor of the evening in Lecco, the name of the guest who will go on the Molteno stage on Saturday 9 September was also revealed is Roberto Pambianchi, soul and frontman of the Cantolibero group and recognized as one of the most important "interpreters" of the songs of the great Rieti composer.

A year after Lucio's death, Roberto began to perform in various squares and clubs, maintaining assiduous contact with many characters who gravitated in Battisti's entourage, from Pasquale Panella, author of the lyrics to Lucio's latest albums, to Roby Matano, collaborator, great friend and singer of the first group in which Battisti played. A path that led Roberto Pambianchi to perform for various broadcasters such as Rai Radio 2, until arriving on TV on Rai 2, Rai International, Sat 2000 and other important broadcasters on the national circuit. A success that led Roberto to create a band that re-proposes Battisti's vast repertoire throughout Italy with mastery and competence. An acquaintance of Battisti's family, Roberto proposes himself as Lucio Battisti's spokesperson without having the pretense of being able to replace him. Mogol himself, on several occasions, labeled Panbianchi's performance as "extraordinary" after listening to his interpretation.

All this will be staged on Saturday 9 September in the Villa Rosa Park in Molteno in the grand finale which will have to decide the final winner of the event organized by LTM Lecchese Turismo Manifestazioni and the provincial coordination of Telethon Lecco with the collaboration of the Lecco Community Foundation and the municipalities of Mandello del Lario and Lecco.

A special thank you goes to the municipal administration of Molteno who hosts us and who immediately passionately supported this idea of the singing competition which was born several months ago.

Management of the evening entrusted to Justin Comi which has already presented the two preliminary phases.
