Messina, the widespread exhibition "Like the Phoenix: Messina and the Laboratory of Rebirth" presented

Presented at Palazzo Zanca, it will develop throughout the city during the Christmas period

Messina, during a press conference today at Palazzo Zanca the Councilor for Culture Enzo Caruso presented an evocative and unprecedented exhibition on the theme "Like the Arabian Phoenix: Messina and the Laboratory of Rebirth" - Works, Images, Correspondence and Projects of Messina between past, present and future. The architect took part in the meeting with journalists. Carmelo Celona, curator of the Exhibition, the Director of the State Archives Angela Puleio, the Superintendent of the BB.CC.AA. Mirella Vinci, the Director of the Tosi Siragusa Regional Library, the engineer. Amedeo Mallandrino for the exhibition at Villa Cianciafara, Angelo Caristi of the Museo del '900 and the architect. Maria Mercurio representing the Director of the Regional Museum of Messina Orazio Micali; each of those present illustrated their contribution to the exhibition as a representative of a body and/or institution or as a private individual. “This widespread exhibition – explained Councilor Caruso – allows the reconstruction of a fragmentary puzzle of the post-earthquake city of Messina through the exhibition of documents, deeds, excerpts and projects never realized belonging to the archives of the individual institutions that have joined the initiative. The inaugurations at different times will allow enjoyment through a calendar full of appointments and events for citizens. I am honored by this spontaneous and enthusiastic participation on the part of institutions, bodies and private individuals, who wanted to network for the city. I think the Municipal Administration's strategy of becoming directors of teamwork, where everyone contributes to the promotion of Messina, is a winning one."
