Messina: al Teatro dei 3 Mestieri prima nazionale dello spettacolo “In alto mare”

On the high seas it is a ferocious text because, through its surreal comedy, and through the ancient metaphor of the shipwreck as a misfortune that unites us, it gives us back remnants of humanity that you dehumanizes moment after moment, explicitly seeking, from the first point, with logics of abuse and violence, the sacrificial victim which allows the two castaways who call themselves executioners, an illusory survival which in reality is still one step closer to the end.
Un text which, sixty years after its release, is still sensationally current for temi which puts: the inconclusiveness of politics, the falsity and opportunism of social relationships, the impossibility of escaping from a metaphorical sea that surrounds us, a sea that continually threatens to swallow us. A text which cruelly reminds us how much we are measly and how much we could have been best.
