Messina Vinyl Fest: everything is ready for the event dedicated to music and vinyl lovers.
Everything is ready for the Messina Vinyl Fest, scheduled Sunday May 28 from 10.00 to 20.00 Sunset by Mortelle (with a contribution of 2 euros for entry and free up to 16 years).
It will be one day of music, with the presence of numerous stands of vinyl exhibitors and sellers (twelve in total, coming from different regions), including: Sonatine Dischi from Cosenza, Simply Dischi, a new company from Catanzaro, Oblique Strategies and thereal vinyl pusher from Rome and the Messina sellers Riccardo El Ponta, Il Musichiere, Lucentini and Cuminale
present also stands of vintage objects and clothing: including Ottica Sciutteri, La Vecchia Soffitta Modernariato SiciliAmore. There is also space for craftsmanship with I Lignu, Nakei Boutique, I Pikini and Fy Artigiane.
- organizers of the MVF have focused on one 360 degree musical experience through the use of different languages (DJ set, live, talk) in the evocative setting of the Sunset in Mortelle. The goals I say give voice to local talents, from Sicily and Calabria, through a day that offers transversal sounds (disco, reggae, funky, cumbia, dub).
In fact, a program of musical events particularly rich:
Pm 12 there will be a talks and live acoustic shows edited by TUMA Records (newly created independent record label from Messina) and LetteraEmme: Basiliscus P and La Stanza della Nonna (LSDN) will be the protagonists.
Le two bands from Messina they will talk about themselves to the journalists of LetteraEmme (media partner of the event) and will conclude the speeches with some songs taken from their latest albums.
They will also be organised DJ sets all day. They will be present: Disco Tic (from Reggio Calabria), Ssaramood (from Siracusa), Bluemarina & Stereo8 (Messina/Rome), Mish Mash Sound System (Milazzo) and Turki (Messina).
Will also participate Siracusano and Jah Sazza, musician, DJ-Producer as well as drummer and percussionist, with a background full of prestige collaborations including Roy Paci. It is rich in global influences and sounds starting from the upbeat cadence of the Reggae Ska that by joining the jokes typical of Funk, to clear references Afrocentrics and the warm Latin Jazz, certainly finds no room for limits in the musical field.
Our visitors they will also have the option of have lunch at Sunset, thus spending a different Sunday than usual.
To signal the presence of three non-profit associations who will participate in the event: the Nino Cucinotta Association, Puli-Amo Messina and Ecosfera Diving Center. At the MVF they will be able to support their projects solidarity and the promoters of the event themselves will support these associations by donating part of the day's proceeds.
