Messina: Messina Vinyl returns to Sunset in Mortelle.
After the great success of last year, The Messina Vinyl Fest returns on Sunday 28 May, the event dedicated to all music lovers which, also for this edition, will be hosted in the suggestive location of Sunset by Mortelle. A day dedicated to music, with live performances and DJ sets. There are exhibitors of records from different regions and numerous stands of crafts and vintage objects.
From 10am to 20pm (with a 2 euro entry fee), it will be possible to find local and non-local record exhibitors, including Simply Dischi (CZ), Sonatine Dischi (famous record shop in Cosenza); Oblique Strategies (Rome); Therealvinylpusher (Rome) It will be a day of music with a particularly rich program. With a matinee with talks and live acoustic performances by TUMA Records and LetteraEmme: Basiliscus P and La Stanza della Nonna (LSDN) will be the protagonists.
The two bands from Messina will talk to journalists about LetterEmme (media partner of the event) and will conclude the speeches with some songs taken from their latest albums. There will be DJ sets throughout the day with guests from all over Sicily, including DJs Sara Modicano, Disco Tic and Jah Sazza to dance on the sand and many other names will be added shortly. Not just vinyls though, because exhibitors of crafts, clothing and vintage objects are expected to participate in the MVF. Among which “La Vecchia Soffitta” “Modernariato Sicilia Amore” “i Lignu” Ottica Sciutteri”. Particular attention is also paid to solidarity, with the presence of three non-profit associations from Messina: the Association Nino Cucinotta, Puli-Amo Messina and Ecosfera Diving Center. You will be able to join the MVF, thus supporting their projects and the promoters of the event themselves will support these associations by donating part of the day's proceeds.
The organizer of the event, Francesco Bonaccorso, declares: “I thank Sunset for confirming its availability to host the Messina Vinyl Fest, which represents the ideal place to create not only a market with thousands of records, but to create a real party characterized by conviviality, desire to have fun. It will also be possible to have lunch in the splendid setting of the Sunset, thus spending a different Sunday than usual."
The partners of the event are: Mish Mash Festival, which will set up a stand where you can purchase pre-sales for the famous Milazzo event which will be held in August; LetteraEmme, Tuma Records, I Tuoi Favorite Gelatini, Freetime Dj Radio (Technical partner). the Nino Cucinotta Association, Puli-Amo Messina.
