“Messina City of Music and Events”: the program continues with the “Estate in Villa” exhibition.

The rich program of events promoted by the municipal administration continues to propose various initiatives to offer moments of leisure and entertainment to citizens and tourists in the city, even in the second part of August and the beginning of September. The Summer 2023 program “Messina City of Music and Events”, which has come to life with various events already held as part of August Messina, is enriched with further events included in a plan which, as foreseen by Council resolution no. 295/2023 approving the summer programme, is a plan “flexible and modifiable”, following the exploratory notice announced by the municipal administration for the search for subjects interested in organizing events and initiatives with the aim of continuing the process of valorisation and spreading the knowledge of local artists.

With this aim, new moments of aggregation will be offered to citizens in the arena of Villa Dante with the new event called "Estate in Villa" which will start Friday August 18 with “I Beddi Musicanti di Sicilia Feat Marco Corrao”. The calendar of the Villa Dante event, with free entry, and the shows starting at 21pm, includes the event “All' usu'Nticu: Sunati Sunaturi” on Sunday 20th August, continuing on Wednesday 23rd with “Pippo Porterà & I Soul Men” and Thursday 24th with “Meraviglioso Pinocchio”. On Saturday 26th August there will be space for “La Notte della Tarantella”, followed on Monday 28th by “Musica con Pianoforte” and on Wednesday 30th by “Folklore In Festa – Premio Amicizia”. On September 1st there will be space for music with a tribute to the great Sicilian artist "Franco Battiato's Live Tribute Band", on September 3rd the billboard of the Villa Dante arena will end with "Da Li Munti A Lu Mari".
