Mayor Basile visits the new headquarters of the provincial section of the National Deaf Organization of Messina
Mayor Federico Basile accompanied by the councilor for social policies Alessandra Calafiore and the city councilor Raffaele Rinaldo visited the new institutional headquarters of theENS (National Board of the Deaf), provincial section of Messina.
The meeting was an opportunity to express the municipal administration's appreciation to president Giuseppe Previti and vice president Emilio Cavò and the members of the board, for the commitment made to the realization of multiple activities organized by the organization in various fields, from sport, to theater and music, with the aim of promoting and maintaining a high level of social inclusion of all members. Commitment, also demonstrated by the purchase of the new, completely renovated headquarters thanks to the skill and dedication of the members also demonstrated through their manual skills in carrying out construction works.
The visit ended with a moment dedicated to exchange of greetings for the Christmas holidays and the new year.
“It was not a simple toast to exchange greetings with the deaf community of Messina, but a way to remember – said Mayor Basile – the closeness and support of the municipal administration to the important work that the organization carries out on a daily basis in support of many of our fellow citizens affected by this disability".
