Lucignano: over the weekend artists at work in "One of the most beautiful villages in Italy" for the fourth edition of the impromptu painting event.
A competition that will involve painters from all over Italy: Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 October The fourth edition of the impromptu painting event will take place in Lucignano, organized by the local Pro Loco in collaboration with the artist Pasquale Di Fazio, resident in Lucignano for 15 years and sponsored by the Municipality.
The objective is precise: to reveal the beauties of Lucignano through pictorial works created by many artists who will liven up the streets, alleys and squares of the Valdichiana village from Saturday morning. It will be a marvel for many visitors and tourists to see so many "masters of the brush" at work and above all to discover, from early Sunday afternoon, very personal interpretations on canvas of the beauties of "One of the most beautiful villages in Italy" or creations that they originate from everyone's creativity. Each artist will therefore be able to choose their evocative angle, the best perspective to create original "masterpieces", or create free-themed works, which will then be judged by a qualified jury. The aim of the competition is to promote and enhance the scenic beauty, historical monuments, corners and peculiarities of Lucignano.
The announcement of the winners and the awarding of the works will take place on Sunday 9 October 2022 at 18.30 at the headquarters of the Rosini Theatre.
The prizes are particularly interesting: starting from 1.400 euros for the first place, 1.100 for the second and decreasing for the others indicated by the Jury. As required by the regulations of the extemporanea lucignanese, the works awarded the prize will remain the property of the organisations, companies or private individuals who offered the relevant prizes. The artist who receives the prize will be required to leave the work, even if the price established by him is higher than the prize that will be assigned to him.
Pasquale Di Fazio
Pasquale Di Fazio was born in Lavello (1960), Italy, but spent part of his life in Milano. He is a self-taught artist and since 1985 he has dedicated himself entirely to painting, exhibiting his work for the first time at Milano in 1990. From then on he presented his works in Europe, the United States and Asia. Di Fazio currently lives and works in Tuscany and focuses more on abstract art. His deep knowledge of composition and depth allows his paintings to take on a spatial dimension, with his fabulous and striking colors providing stunning illumination and a mystical undertone. Di Fazio translates his love for nature onto the canvas, evoking the atmosphere of the Italian countryside, and Tuscany in particular, in his inimitable way. His abstract style and subtle use of color effortlessly convey the authentic feel of the landscapes and bring out the country's natural nuances. Di Fazio's paintings are intriguing and fascinating for their composition and color harmony, partly the result of the artist's advanced technical skills. The colors blend subtly in a brilliant alchemy that reflects great expressive power. Without any reference to realism, Di Fazio shows a universe full of surprises with the desire to promote emotions. In this very original abstract world, the subtlety of harmonies is punctuated by geometric figures. The strokes of the brushstrokes graze each other, fit into each other. It is an impulse of dynamism to these rhythmic compositions that resonate like a musical score. As a master, the painter plays with the vibrations of chromatic notes to build spaces of freedom inhabited by spiritual powers. Di Fazio's works reveal a singular atmosphere that brings both color and form into contact to propose new pictorial sensations.
