Is situated in Mele the best trattoria in Italy. The 19th edition of Golosaria decreed it Milano, a reference event for quality agri-food, hosted in the new headquarters of the Fair Milano Rho.
A success that is not limited to the prestigious recognition of the “Single Red Crown”: in fact, there are 95 Ligurian award winners in total, including producers, local restaurateurs, shops and delicatessens. The Region, present at the event held from 2 to 4 November, participated in this year's edition with a personalized space in which Liguria has proposed a rich calendar of events that has allowed the public to discover and taste the specialties of the territory.
The tastings and show cooking saw the participation of typical products such as Recco focaccia with PGI cheese and mortar pesto, alongside mussels and shellfish from the Ligurian Sea. Local producers and Ligurian bartenders also offered mixology experiences with cocktails based on regional ingredients. The demonstrations celebrated traditional recipes and their modern reinterpretations, reflecting the theme of the event: “Identity, territories and future”.
With the title of best trattoria in Italy awarded to a historic local establishment, together with numerous awards for products and wines of the region, Liguria confirms its prominent position in Italian catering: this edition's awards include 5 new "crowns" (recognition given to the best restaurants/trattorias), in addition to the 22 confirmed, and 11 new "radiant faces" (places where the food and wine experience was “moving”), which are added to the 34 already awarded in previous years: Ligurian restaurants and trattorias of the highest level, which find ample space in the famous guide Il Golosario Ristoranti 2025, now in its 26th edition.
The wine sector has also achieved great success: Several Ligurian wineries have been awarded among the Top Hundred 2024 for their excellent wines, while others have won awards in the historic Top Hundred category.
