Lecco: exhibition “My hell. Dante prophet of hope” at the Visconti Tower.
Il March 10 at 18:00 am will be inaugurated in the conference room of Palace of Fears the exhibition “My hell. Dante prophet of hope", promoted by the Municipality of Lecco through the Lecco Urban Museum System (Simul) and by the “G. Leopardi” of Lecco. The exhibition, set up in Torre Viscontea, can be visited for free from 11 March to 9 April, with different times between Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The exhibition, curated by the essayist and pedagogist Franco Nembrini with the contribution of the cartoonist and illustrator Gabriele Dell'Otto, develops around the intuition that the profound meaning of the first canticle of the Divine Comedy is contained in the Vita Nova, the work written by Dante about ten years earlier. Dante sees in the meeting with Beatrice the promise of happiness that seems to fill the desire for completeness and tension towards good that characterizes the human heart. The exhibition, therefore, guides the visitor through Dante's Inferno, in a multisensory journey made up of projections of images, videos and sounds.
The exhibition was created thanks to the collaboration of the Cariplo Foundation, the Rivela Association, the Centocanti Publishing House and the Diocese of Verona. Furthermore, the third and fourth year students of the "G." high school will act as guides. Leopardi” of Lecco.
The exhibition “My hell. Dante Prophet of Hope” represents a unique opportunity to deepen your knowledge of the Divine Comedy and its most illustrious figure, Dante Alighieri. The evocative setting of the Visconti Tower, together with the projections of images and sounds, will help create an immersive and engaging experience for visitors, who will be able to discover the profound meaning of the first canticle of the Divine Comedy through the eyes of the poet.
