Lecco: from 3 September to 1 October the Viscontea Tower hosts the works of the Lecco painter, Carlo Maria Giudici

Lecco: the Viscontea Tower houses the works of the Lecco painter, Carlo Maria Giudici.

From September 3rd to October 1st the exhibition will be set up in Torre Viscontea (piazza XX Settembre). “Carlo Maria Giudici 1973 | 2023 – Fifty years of artistic life”.

The exhibition that highlights the entire pictorial career of Carlo Maria Giudici in the different decades of his artistic career. Conceived and created by the Lecco Urban Museum System of the Municipality of Lecco, the exhibition will be accessible to the public on Thursdays from 10am to 13pm, Friday and Saturday from 14pm to 18pm and Sunday from 10am to 18pm.

The exhibition, curated by Barbara Cattaneo with the collaboration of Elena Negri and Chiara D'Anna, develops in different rooms of the medieval tower, in an itinerary divided between multiple works and artefacts that embrace various artistic techniques and deal with the painter's favorite themes, in which the use of the composition in its expressive gestures, of light and color are the emblematic elements that characterize the works present. In 1975, at just twenty years old, Carlo Maria Giudici held a personal painting exhibition entitled "Characteristic corners of our Lecco" within the walls of the Viscontea Tower.

“After many years, an anthological exhibition by Carlo Maria Giudici returns – explains the Councilor for Culture of the Municipality of Lecco Simona Piazza -. The exhibition dedicated to the painter from Lecco tells both his artistic journey and, through his works, our territory, its most characteristic places and the traditions of our communities".

The inauguration will be held on Saturday 2 September at 18pm at Palazzo delle Paure and will be followed by a visit to the exhibition in Torre Viscontea. Admission is free.
