The tour of the traveling project began with great participation and enthusiasm on the part of the students and teachers of classes 4 and 5 of the Mattei and IIS Einaudi Institutes “Aware young citizens” by officials of the Demographic-Statistical and Public Education-Youth Policies Services.
The in-depth analysis of issues related to the right to vote and citizenship was presented to the students by the Director of the two Services Marco Turriziani, da Raffale Cioppa, da Mariafrancesca D'Adamo and da Emilio Rossi officials of the Demographic and Statistics Service - who also provided the electoral cards to the newly eighteen-year-olds.
Appreciation for the initiative was expressed by the headmaster of the two institutes prof. Costantino Forcina both for the presence of the Municipality in the schools and for the aims of the project in involving children in democratic, conscious participation and awareness-raising on the rights linked to the active and passive electorate, the importance of being a community and above all administrative citizenship, but also for the presence and testimony of the 12 volunteers of the Universal Civil Service newly hired by the Youth Policies Office, accompanied by the manager Carla Cerroni.
The event was interspersed with musical moments from the young singer "Eterna” – Martina Celommi – who performed with the unreleased song “Catarifrangente” and some covers.
