La Spezia: The exhibition inaugurated in the art gallery at the Cruise Terminal of the Port.
Il Cruise Terminal, after the availability of the Spezia and Carrara Cruise Terminal Company to host meetings and conferences of an economic and social nature, it also becomes place of art of the city with the inauguration of an exhibition characterized by the contamination of multiple expressive forms created by artists from La Spezia and preordained for the creation of a guide to a cultural and experiential journey for the cruise passengers themselves who choose to stay and get to know our territory.
La show was inaugurated in morning of June 30th in the presence of Mayor of La Spezia Pierluigi Peracchini, the Councilor for Sport Marco Frascatore, the General Director of the La Spezia & Carrara Cruise Terminal Company Daniele Ciulli, the organizers and the artists from La Spezia who exhibit their works, the art critic Valerio Cremolini and the photographer Pier Luigi Acerbi.
They are five sections hosted in the lounge wing of the Terminal: i Italia '90 gadgets, artistic furniture from Liguria Vintage, “revisited” works by six painters – Walter Tacchini, Gloria Giuliano, Maria Grazia Taddei, Paolo Megazzini, Nicola Perucca and Giuseppe Gusinu – and those of three artists – Antonella Ratti, Marco Natale and Marco Oldoini – proposed by Schiaccheart of Riomaggiore, i nice "ironic fish" on the La Spezia ways of saying by Maria Teresa Del Duca represented on wood and three posters representing the fantastic never published covers of "The Spezziner" of the Progetto Rivista cultural association, one of which, signed by Gloria Giuliano, chosen as the Poster of the Palio del Golfo 2023.
Le exhibited works are the result of a green choice, both in the use of materials and in the message they want to convey, together with the artistic interpretation of the not only aesthetic beauty of our territory.
This multipurpose concept it was also premiered to seven architects – Ornella Capitano, Francesca Cantieri, Moira Trusani, Massalong, Luca Bandello, Giulia Bandello Giammori and Federico Calabretta – invited to learn about and consider these expressive forms for their projects.
