La Spezia: the third edition of Italian Star Ballet begins.
It will take place from 20 to 22 October 2023 at the PalaMariotti in La Spezia the third edition of Italian Star Ballet: the international dance sport event which sees over 3000 people present from every region of Italy.
The competitions will be reserved for the disciplines of Latin Style, Free Style, Caribbean Dance and Para Dance, with particular attention to the inclusion and participation of athletes with disabilities. In the first ROUND in addition to performances by the best talents on the national scene, they will be rewarded with the famous "Dance Sport Awards” the athletes, sports managers and authorities who have shown interest in the discipline.
“Hosting major sporting events of a national and international nature is increasingly becoming the distinctive feature of La Spezia – declares the Mayor Pierluigi Peracchini – we have invested heavily in excellent sports infrastructures and strongly believe in the values of sport. This translates into particular attention on the part of the Municipal Administration towards the theme which we consider a driving force, not only for the valorisation of the various disciplines and for the diffusion of sporting culture, but also for the tourist development of our city which, in occasion of these competitions, is sold out thanks to the large influx of people involved in the events.”
“It's not just a competition: it's a way to express yourself, to tell a story and to convey emotions. This sport requires discipline and determination and teaches values such as respect, FairPlay, patience in facing obstacles and perseverance in following your dreams. This event is also a powerful message of inclusion. It reminds us that precisely through these values, physical barriers can be overcome and that nothing can stop the will to overcome oneself. The athletes with different abilities who will perform on Sunday are a source of inspiration for all of us. They have shown that we can achieve extraordinary results, if together.” – declared the Artistic Director of the event D'Asaro Alessandro.
“I would like to thank the Mayor Dr. Pierluigi Peracchini, the Councilor for Tourism and Deputy Mayor the Hon. Maria Grazia Frijia and the Councilor for Sport Marco Frascatore for supporting the initiative. I am proud of the results obtained, especially in light of my recent appointment as Technical Director of Breaking: the first discipline that will represent Dance Sport, for the first time at the Paris 2024 Olympics" - declared the Technical Director Edilio Pagano.
