If a traveler on a winter's night: cross the landscape with Calvino.
Grosseto, after the success of the Creative Campus a Principina a Mare the project Dune, continues with a suggestive poetic walk around the ruins of Low Tower, hidden corner of the Maremma park at Collecchio.
Friday 22 September, at 18pm, and in two subsequent replies Saturday 23 and Sunday 24th, always at 18 pm, Changes Academy presents "If on a winter's night a traveler" by Italo Calvino, traveling show for spectators wearing headphones, with Sarah Donzelli, Alessandro Ferrara e Giorgio Zorcù. The show, which already successfully debuted at the end of June at Castle of Castiglione della Pescaia within the Calvinian manifestations, inaugurates the new section of Dune entitled Poetic walks, two theatrical experiences that explore different ways of traversing nature and landscape with the languages of art, for small groups of spectators.
With “If on a winter's night a traveler” Italo Calvino takes us on a journey to unexpected places, an encyclopedia of possible literary universes, with a surprising and entertaining novel made up of many novels, which take us towards the peak of tension and then interrupted. Thus leaving us in search of possible epilogues and other novels, with a direct dialogue with the Reader, who will soon meet a Reader and give life to a parallel story that frames everything else. The intimate dialogue with the Reader is returned by putting the spectators in headphones, thus inducing a close and personal relationship between Actor and Spectator, and allowing the movement of the group to cross different places together, as Calvino does with his writing. The acting talent of Sara Donzelli and Alessandro Ferrara sensitively capture the stylistic nuances of the novel and the viewer, thanks to listening with headphones, becomes the exclusive interlocutor, in a mix between the path of the story and the journey into the uncontaminated nature of the Maremma Park.
To participate in “If on a winter's night a traveler" the meeting point is at Uccellina agricultural estate in Collecchio, at 18 pm. After a short walk the actual show will begin in the surrounding area Low Tower. The total duration is around 2 hours, for a maximum of 40 spectators at a time.
