Lecco, a beam of purple light for the National Day dedicated to Eating Disorders

Lecco, The Municipality participates in the awareness campaign on Eating Behavior Disorders (DCA) promoted byIlfilolilla National Association APS-ETS which is celebrated every 15 March.

To do this, at the same time as many other municipalities in Italy, it is requested to light up lilac on the night of March 15th to 16th, adhering to "Italy lights up with Lille”, a monument or place in the city: the Municipality of Lecco “colorà” the Monument to those fallen at work in Largo Caleotto in purple.

After road accidents, the WHO considers Eating Disorders as the second cause of death among adolescents. It is estimated that today in Italy three and a half million people suffer from DCA, with 8.500 new cases per year.
