A relay which, like the national virtual television relay, has the profound value of solidarity. The Roman credit institution, historical sponsor of Telethon since 1992, with that "marathon" the aim is, in fact, to raise funds to support the entire research chain for the treatment of rare genetic diseases; Skeep, who has in his DNA the concern for those who have to deal with these pathologies, tries to play his part by setting up this particular relay of his.
It's the edition n. 9 that the association of Cristiana Artuso offers Grosseto runners: from the moment of its birth (2013), was forced to skip only the year 2020, because of Covid. And this time too i yellow-blue volunteers they spared no effort to ensure the success of the event which will kick off at 10 hours. In fact, there will be a competitive race reserved for the hard core of Maremma runners (la Urban Aurelia Antica Trail), seven and a half kilometers between the cycle path on the embankment and the interior of the farm San Lorenzo; it will then be the turn of the actual Relay of the Heart, with each of the four fractionists who will have to carry the baton for un kilometer and seven hundred meters; the third option to offer your contribution to solidarity is Friendship Walk, which, depending on the weather conditions of the day, could be three or six kilometers; and, finally, the overwhelming hundreds of meters made in a sprint by the enthusiastic participation of the special athletes Skeep.
On the sidelines of the sporting part (there are prizes for the first ones three classified of each category), many collateral initiatives: stations for the sale of themed gadgets, the songs of the Skeep choir directed by Barbara Lipparini, the refreshment offered to the athletes at the end of the race and the closing in style with the intervention of the City of Grosseto Philharmonic Orchestra of the President Lecci, who did not want to fail to offer their contribution to the event. The registrations (10 € for Urban Trail athletes, 5 € for all others) are received at the store Running 42 in via Sauro 106 and, on Sunday 27th, at the starting point of the race From 8am to 30am.
