Grosseto: The “Free everyone” competition is back

for the 2022/2023 school year

Grosseto: The “Free everyone” competition is back.

Even for the school year 2022/2023 is re-proposed by Consultation for Disabilities of the Municipality of Grosseto competition “Free All” organized for students of high schools present in the municipal area.
The project, born five years ago, immediately attracted great interest among students and their teachers for its objective: to contribute to the cultural growth of young citizens, with respect and inclusion of the most vulnerable people.

This year, with the title “You and I, different but equal, together we can…” the Municipal Administration, through the work of the Council, intends once again to initiate young people on a path of in-depth study of otherness, which is expressed through the production - both individual and group - of various types of works, including texts in prose or poetry, newspaper articles, drawings, sculptures, photos, musical productions and videos.

The documents, including electronic ones, can be delivered directly to theSocial Services Office of the Municipality of Grosseto in via degli Apostoli 11 starting from 14 April and, in any case, no later than 2 May 2023.

Before the end of the school year, a jury, chaired by councilor Sara Minozzi, will select 4 winners, who will be awarded a cash prize, as well as the Institute that has presented the greatest number of works.

“We are proud to return to talking about the “Liberi tutti” project, which also this year promotes the theme of inclusion and diversity – comment the mayor Antonfrancesco Vivarelli Colonna and the councilor for Social Affairs, Sara Minozzi – Let us always remember that our diversity cannot or must not obscure the fact that we are all, first and foremost, human beings. We should celebrate our differences and leverage our uniqueness to enrich our understanding of the world and each other. We are convinced that this project can continue to raise awareness and involve more and more people, to build a more welcoming and respectful society of diversity."

Valentina Corsetti, president of the Municipal Council for Disabilities, was also satisfied: “Everyone happens to be judged for something we do that is “different” – she comments – Therefore, before judging others, let's reflect on the fact that we are all different, but human; and the differences represent an immense wealth”.
