From 24 - 26 March the first edition of the Cremona Art Fair begins at CremonaFiere, the curtain rises on the modern and contemporary art fair with galleries, curatorial projects, guided tours and meetings

A fair focuses entirely on art in all its forms arrives in Cremona, featuring debates, exhibitions of drawings but also guided tours to better understand the project.

From 24 - 26 March the first edition of the Cremona Art Fair begins at CremonaFiere, the curtain rises on the modern and contemporary art fair with 
galleries, curatorial projects, guided tours and meetings.

To present the first edition of the Cremona Art Fair they will be: the municipal councilor for culture Luca Burgazzi, Paolo Batoni director of Cremona Art Fair and Camilla Remondina art historian.

“We want to fuel the ferment – comments Paolo Batoni – and the trends that are emerging from the market and, at the same time, support and encourage a new generation of collectors and visitors to approach them through the fair with not only an economic but also a cultural approach. This first edition in Cremona represents the return of a ritual, of a practice, that of the art fair, which brings people together, creates a bond, a totality, a community, which goes beyond the commercial concept of the fair and its function meeting between artists and buyers. The talks and guided tours go in this direction"

Will thirty nine le gallery of art (including three foreigners) who met for this first edition promoted by TOE and will be divided into two sections. There Main Section, the strong point of the event, will involve thirty-three galleries consolidated on the national scene, proposing a happy union with works ranging from modern art, to post-war art, to contemporary art, where the presence of painting and sculpture is prevalent.

La second section, Art Projects, will instead be dedicated to projects and galleries which they will mainly present solo show and duo show, placing artists from different social contexts in dialogue by posing reflections on current issues: such as ecology and capitalism, with the works of the Iranian artist Navid Azimi Sajadi and Joseph Beuys presented by Studio Linea Verticale, identity with the highly introspective painting of Silvia Mei presented by the Mangano Art Gallery, of urban transformation with the works of artist Goran Dragas, presented by the Prototip gallery and Andrea Di Marco presented by Bonelli Lab, to conclude on the theme of classicism addressed by the artists Federico Benedetti and Paolo Niccolai presented by the DAV Centro Arti Visive.

Dal 24 – 26 marzo a CremonaFiere inizia la prima edizione di Cremona Art Fair, si alza il sipario sulla fiera d’arte moderna e contemporanea con  gallerie, progetti curatoriali, visite guidate e incontri.

A complete the exhibition itinerary of the fair we find 20+ a call for DRAWINGS, project entirely dedicated to drawing, a practice that in recent years has seen a process of redefining its boundaries. “The exhibition of the selected works is an opportunity to observe the different directions in which drawing has been moving in recent years. These artists reinterpret a practice so rooted in history, giving it a current interpretation thanks to modern-day themes, techniques and materials.” supports Camilla Remondina, curator of the project in collaboration with the artistic direction of the Combat Prize.

The program is rich TALK by Cremona Art Fair, series of meetings edited by Adriana Baldoni, art critic, teacher and journalist, who completes the fair project as approach to art not only cheap, but also cultural, where important spaces for conversation on the challenges that the art world is facing are located.

in Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th March they will develop with journalists, artists, curators, gallery owners and market experts, four themes which will address the dynamics of the market, the function of archives, education and training and communication strategies, analyzing the methods and motivations of the change taking place in the art system.

Finally, to fully appreciate the works on display and get to know the artists represented up close, they are Free guided tours are provided in the exhibition itinerary of the fair, aimed at bringing the general public closer to the world of art collecting.
