Giovanna Pierini, freelance journalist, lives and works in Milano. For years you have written about marketing and management. In 2006 you published Information reserved with Alessandro Tosi. She has always been passionate about art, thanks to her painter mother, Luciana Bora, whose archive she has looked after since 2008. The Lady with the Fan is her first novel in which she features Sofonisba Anguissola, over ninety years old in Palermo - it is 1625 - in his attempt to reconnect the threads of memory and remember the origin of a painting.
This is the narrative pretext that introduces the biographical story of one of the first and most significant Italian artists, who presents herself to the reader as a woman with a strong personality, emancipated and unconventional, who lived between Cremona, Genoa, Palermo and Madrid at the court Spanish, linked to characters who really existed and others invented by the fervent imagination of Giovanna Pierini.
