On the occasion of the relay organized by the non-profit association RUN4HOPE – Italy, which took place on the morning of 13 April and started from Morano Calabro towards Castrovillari, the Carabinieri of the Company lined up alongside members and runners, with the sole aim of support fundraising in support of primary national organizations dedicated to research and assistance in the medical-health field.
In fact, at the expected arrival point in the central Piazza Municipio of Castrovillari, the soldiers of the Carabinieri organized a stand with various information material and brochures distributed by two marshals who, with real pleasure, opened themselves up to curious questions from citizens, to whom they also showed the various equipment of the two cars specially on display: these are the two vehicles recently supplied by Alfa Romeo, namely Giulia and Tonale, equipped with modern and technological safety systems and with a high-performance engine.
The particular initiative has arrived now in its 4th edition, it is divided into non-competitive regional relays that take place simultaneously involving around 40.000 runners. In the first four-year period, the "AIRC Foundation", for Cancer Research, and "AIL", the Italian Association against Leukemia, Lymphoma and Myeloma", which receive the collected contribution in alternate years, were identified as beneficiaries of the donations.
And here it is for these reasons the Carabinieri wanted to join the initiative, attending the passage of the relay which, specifically organized by the ASD CORRI CASTROVILLARI and arriving from Morano Calabro to Castrovillari, was passed to Cassano All'Ionio, where another regional stage will be held tomorrow.
On the occasion, citizens of all ages approached the stand to speak with the Carabinieri, who answered questions and clarified doubts: elderly people, adults and even the little ones, who also had the opportunity to get behind the wheel of the Army Gazelle!!!
