The Municipality of Chieti is planning four days of initiatives for the 25th November, International day against violence against women, celebrated with a special program this year, that of “Violence is not love”.
This is an initiative desired by the Council and Presidency of the Municipal Council, born in synergy with the Alpha Centre, driving force of the municipal anti-violence network and carried out with the patronage of the Prefecture of Chieti and with the precious collaboration of the network of city associations that are the soul and heart of appointments.
Presentation of the program with the mayor on Saturday Diego Ferrara, the president and vice-president of the municipal council Luigi Febo e Silvia Di Pasquale, the manager of the Alpha Anti-Violence Center Marialaura Di Loreto, the city councilors Alberta Giannini e Paris Paci, organizational drivers and representatives of some of the associations taking part in the events.
«A day, many moments of reflection. This is how Chieti prepares to experience November 25th – so the mayor Diego Ferrara -. The official presentation of the program which includes four days of events will be held on Saturday. The Municipality of Chieti is present on this issue that concerns us as an institution, which is why we wanted to dedicate four days of events made possible with the precious collaboration of the network of city associations which are the heart and soul of the events. Chieti responds and acts and we are happy to do so through concrete initiatives, such as reflection and reintegration into the world of work which is well represented in the data that the Anti-Violence Center provides us every year. My commitment and that of the Administration is to maintain an operational presence on the front, because this is what the institutions must do, be present, facilitate new beginnings and, above all, not arrive too late».
