Chieti: the antiques markets return to the square on Sunday 22 October.

Are back antiques markets in the historic center of the city on Sunday 22 October. Union, Municipality and Aniac Abruzzo, trade association that brings together artisans and traders for "The ancient in the square”, a market exhibition of curiosities, antiques and collectibles created several years ago, which by regulation takes place eitherevery fourth Sunday of the month from 9am to 22pm.

"The partnership with Aniac is back, which we have already established on the occasion of the Christmas markets - said the Councilor for Commerce Manuel Pantalone – . The idea is to create a quality market dedicated to ancient and modern art, which is able to include the city in the fixed and popular events of the sector in ours. We want to look at the good practices and synergy experiments that also exist in other areas of Italy and propose them in the area to support the sector and diversify the offer of commercial events for the city. We will focus on quality, so that Chieti can become a stop not to be missed for all fans of the genre who are truly a significant number in Abruzzo."

“As the ANIAC Association, we feel close to the municipal administration in promoting all the initiatives that they can bring attention and wealth to the city, and in particular we don't want to miss out on our contribution to an event like "L'Antico in piazza" which in past years managed to involve thousands of visitors even from outside the region - so the Aniac managers Tommaso Rutolo and Paolo Recchia – . For this new edition, around thirty stands will be set up on Corso Marrucino with avast and varied exposure which ranges from antiques to modern art, passing through vinyl records, craftsmanship, toys from the past, and many unique pieces. There are many objects from the past to admire that forcefully return to the trend-modern scene.

L'Antico in Piazza will also be an event dedicated to vintage, a very trendy sector at the moment which also has the aim of supporting the reuse of objects as well as valorisation of traditions that the works of the past carry with them. Paintings, small furniture, accessories and clothing from the 50s, 60s and 70s, rare and hard to find books, vintage bijoux and 900th century American collectibles, grandmother's bags and jewellery, there really is everything at Antico in Piazza , for young and old, expert collectors or novice customers. The fun of wandering along Corso Marrucino, of looking for a retro object among the markets, always remains an opportunity for fun, discovery and knowledge, a different and captivating tourist offer for many, at all ages. There will also be artisans and hobbyists present who will display their creations, unique articles that are the fruit of their ingenuity and knowledge."
