Campobasso: The ethnic painting exhibition “Ofrenda, every Being is an Altar” by Lorena Veliz Flores.

It will be inaugurated at 18.00 pm Friday April 21, at Samnite Circle of Campobasso, the ethnic painting exhibition “Ofrenda, every Being is an Altar”, of the artist Lorena Veliz Flores, established Chilean painter, muralist and educator who lives and works in "Guzmania", north of Santiago de Chile, currently passing through Molise as part of a tour that will see her as the protagonist of various initiatives including workshops, exhibitions and creations of murals.

The exhibition, promoted by the Municipality of Campobasso, will remain open to the public, with free entry, from 10.00 to 20.00, also on Saturday and Sunday 22 and 23 April.

“Ofrenda” is a review of large paintings on canvas, a visual story, inspired by real or imaginary people and landscapes, representing the practices and traditions of ancestral spirituality of which the artist declares himself the guardian.

Lorena Véliz Flores he has received numerous awards in his country and has participated in national and international biennials and art exhibitions in Argentina, India, Thailand, Denmark, with works hosted by public and private collections in Chile, the United States and Mexico.

Appreciated for her pictorial and mural work, but also for her incessant work of cultural diffusion and community education through social promotion, art, culture and heritage recovery, she links her plastic imagery to her devotional practice in search of the universal connection with Mother Earth.

To further enrich the event, on the evening of Saturday 22nd, at 18.30 pm, the literary concert for harp and voice "On the trail of Beauty" will take place, curated by Laura Vinciguerra.
