Campobasso, “October in the City” returns
With "October in the City" the Municipality of Campobasso is ready to celebrate Walking Day on Sunday 9 October.
Campobasso, “October in the City” is back.
Sunday 9 October, Walking Day returns again this year, the traditional autumn event promoted throughout Italy by FederTrek Hiking and Environment with hundreds of initiatives aimed at the rediscovery of the historical, artistic and naturalistic places of our country.
Walking Day has among its main objectives the rediscovery of the practice of walking and the adoption of healthier and more sustainable lifestyles and mobility.
The Municipality of Campobasso takes part in the day by promoting the historical-cultural route "Campobasso in the sixteenth century: places, events and stories" which, starting from Palazzo San Giorgio, reaches and crosses the most important symbolic places of our history. The event is included in the program of "October in the City" events organized by the Culture Department of the Municipality of Campobasso.
The route on Sunday 9 October includes meeting and departure from Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II at 10.00 am and returning at 13.00 pm.
In particular, through a qualified guided tour, the main sites represented in the beautiful painting by Gian Maria Felice "Peace between the Crusaders and Trinitarians", a historical, symbolic and identity event of our city, will be visited and described.
The walk is free and open to all, of easy level, there are stairs, comfortable clothing suitable for the weather conditions is recommended.
