Campobasso, the first funds raised for "Social Prosthetics".

After the signing of the memorandum of understanding between the Dentist Register Commission of the Order of Surgeons and Dentists of the Province of Campobasso and the “Vincenzo Cuoco” Secondary School Institute for Dental Technicians in Campobasso, which took place last Saturday, the comedy in two acts “Una sera Tranquilla”, presented on Sunday 3 April at the Savoia theater by the Non Solo Parole Theater Company with the patronage of the Municipality of Campobasso.

It represented the first real moment of implementation of the desire to raise sums to be allocated to the interesting dental prosthesis project to be provided to indigent subjects which is the main purpose of the agreement signed by the president of the CAO Omceo Campobasso, Dr. Domenico Coloccia, and the Headmaster of the IIS “S.Pertini-L.Montini-V.Cuoco”, Dr. Umberto Di Lallo.

In fact, the show staged at the Savoia, written and directed by Felica Fatica Visaggio, had a totally charitable purpose and donated the entire proceeds, well 2800 euro, to the project called “Social Prosthesis”, developed by the “Vincenzo Cuoco” Secondary School Institute for Dental Technicians of Campobasso, as part of the PCTO activities, with the collaboration of the Dentist Register Commission of the Order of Surgeons and Dentists of the Province of Campobasso.

The project involves the third, fourth and fifth classes of the course Dental technician at the “Vincenzo Cuoco” Institute in Campobasso engaged in related school-work alternation activities, arises from the mutual intention of encouraging ethical and cultural growth by promoting actions that lead to the enrichment of notions and practical experiences in the common prosthetic subject and defining collaboration profiles in clinical planning, construction and application of removable dental prostheses intended for patients defined as economically fragile whose reporting is delegated to charitable associations.

The beneficiaries of the prosthetic rehabilitations will be indicated by non-profit charitable associations and, only in the opinion of dentists, after the first evaluation visit, they may be declared clinically suitable for mobile prosthetic rehabilitations only.
