Already during this first city event, with which we wanted to present this extraordinary story to the city, the Vice Mayor Paola Felice, anticipated the desire of the municipal administration to name a street after the heroic carabiniere after whom Campobasso was the birthplace.

After completing the administrative process with the Resolution n.60 of 28/02/2023 and with the authorization of Prefect, the municipal council has decided to name the area in front of the monument dedicated to the fallen of the Army, located in C. da Colle delle Api, with the following toponym: “Largo Captain Massimo Tosti”, taking into account above all the symbolic value of the place itself, capable of representing, in our regional capital, the importance of the history ofCarabinieri and Italy along that path, heroic and sometimes fatal and dramatic, which starts from World War I and ends in the aftermath of the Second World War.
"I thank - declares Paula Felix - everyone worked hard to bring to light heroic episodes that had remained unknown until now. History reminds us that there were many people who resisted with acts of resistance within the concentration camps, just as there were courageous individuals known as "Righteous Among the Nations" who hid and saved Jews from persecution among whom we hope soon to also include our Captain Tosti. Never before have we all been committed to promoting peace, tolerance and justice throughout the world, so that such horrible events never happen again.”
