Campobasso, Excover ends on June 30th
Workshop and final event in the streets of the historic center and at the Monforte castle
Campobasso, Excover ends on June 30th.
The activities of Excover are nearing completion project financed under the “Italy – Croatia 2014 – 2020” programme, of which the Municipality of Campobasso is one of the 13 partners, and made up of Italian and Croatian municipalities and research bodies. For the final event in Campobasso, the municipal administration has planned a double appointment on Thursday 30 June, from the afternoon until the evening.
We will start with a workshop at the Circolo Sannitico, from 17.30 pm, which will be attended by the Councilor for Culture of Campobasso, Paola Felice, Dr. Claudia Romaniello, from the European Policies Office of the Municipality of Campobasso, and Dr. Silvia Santorelli from JustMO' (external consultant of the project). We will talk, together with all the subjects who were involved in the various phases of the project, about integrated tourism strategies and more.
EXCOVER, in fact, is a project that promotes the cultural and natural heritage of 8 lesser-known areas of some Croatian and Italian territories, to achieve sustainable and more balanced territorial development based on a better seasonal distribution of tourist flows.
The central aspect of EXCOVER is the involvement of local communities in the belief that only the active participation of residents is able to create a Tourism Supply Chain based on the valorisation of the territories' tourist resources.
The activities carried out during the project, which will be better illustrated on the final day, made it possible to activate a participatory process with stakeholders and citizens who contributed knowledge to be exploited in the definition of the tourism products subsequently created. A useful process for defining a tourist position strategy for the Municipality of Campobasso and creating tourist products such as: the community map, the widespread infopoint and tourist packages.
Immediately after the phase dedicated to the actual workshop, from 19.00 pm, we start with the tourist visit of the historic center of Campobasso, practically experimenting with the community map together with JustMO', to then reach above the Castello Monforte, where, at 20.00 pm, to welcome tourists and curious people there will be it show by the musical duo, voice and guitar, composed of Carmine Riccio and Isidoro Nugnes.
At the end of the evening, at 21.00 pm, there will be a special farewell cocktail complete with "cuoppo Molisano".
