The public notice for the selection of training projects on the subject of Experiential tourism.
The notice has a total financial budget of 250 thousand euros and aims to strengthen the professional skills of operators in the tourism sector through three training projects divided into specialization courses lasting 200 hours each. The courses will train the professional figure of “Technician expert in the design of sustainable experiential tourist itineraries”, foreseen in the Regional Repertoire of qualifications and skills.
“Focus on strengthening skills, in line with the Strategic Tourism Plan – says the general manager of the Tourism department Maria Antonella Cauteruccio – it is very important for us, considering that we are focusing on interventions aimed at strengthening the qualification of the experiential tourism offer. We expect - hopes the director of the Calabria Region – that experimental training courses are proposed that encourage the professional growth of operators in the tourism sector capable of satisfying the new and particular propensity of tourists to seek destinations that guarantee experiential, naturalistic and active tourism itineraries".
The objective of the initiative is to develop specific skills for the creation, organization and provision of experiential tourism offers, with a particular focus on the principles of economic, social and environmental sustainability. Trained operators will be asked to become true "directors" of local tourist experiences, placing the tourist at the center of an engaging story focused on the attractions of the area, from biodiversity to food and wine, from history to traditions, from craftsmanship to little-known wonders.
Training organizations accredited by the can propose innovative experimental paths Calabria Region, the ITS (Higher Technical Institutes) e universities based in the region.
The recipients of the training courses must be in one of the following employment conditions: entrepreneurs and/or employed workers who work at a production unit in the tourism sector located in the regional territory, even if they are recipients of social safety nets. By employed workers we mean employed workers, including members of cooperative enterprises, employed in the enterprise on an employment relationship; freelancers who carry out their activities in favor of tour operator, as collaborator/partner of a tourism company or a network of companies or product clubs oriented towards incoming and the quality of the travel experience; unemployed people who can document professional experience in the tourism sector.
To participate in the training courses it is also necessary to satisfy some specific requirements, as stated in the notice, including the possession of a secondary school diploma and a documented professionalism in the tourism sector.
The application period has been running since 9 January and will remain open until 14pm on 00 January 31.
