Brescia, thanksgiving concert for the community

Brescia, The Municipality of Brescia is organising, on Sunday 26 July at 21pm in Piazza Loggia, a concert of thanks to all those who have made available to the community with self-denial, professionalism and generosity in one of the most difficult and painful moments experienced by the Brescia community.

With pride and deep gratitude l'municipal administration, in collaboration with the Teatro Grande Foundation, intends to celebrate its fellow citizens, their commitment and their extraordinary dedication with an important musical event of high symbolic value.
In fact, it was decided to involve one of the most successful young conductors in the world, Maestro Lorenzo Viotti, and the Italian Youth Orchestra, a hotbed of young talents in our country who accepted and shared this project with emotion and joy.

A concert that looks positively to the future through the talent of young artists, to underline the spirit of civil cohesion and the desire to restart the city and the entire country.
Maestro Lorenzo Viotti – Swiss, but of an Italian father – is one of the new big names on the international scene, rarely performed in Italy. Winner of awards and recognitions, now thirty years old, he has conducted some of the most important orchestras in the world and today holds the role of Music Director of the Gulbenkian Orchestra, Principal Conductor Designate of the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra, the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra and the Dutch National Opera.

The Italian Youth Orchestra, in 30 years of training activity, has contributed significantly to the musical life of the country with over a thousand musicians employed permanently in Italian and foreign symphony orchestras. She was awarded the prestigious “Abbiati Award” of the National Association of Music Critics and invited to some of the most prestigious music venues in Italy and abroad.
