Brescia, public auction for the sale of Palazzo Bonoris
Brescia, the public auction for the sale of Palazzo Bonoris (via Tosio 23) took place on Monday 2020 November 8. The listed property, with a surface area of 1.646 square meters, is included in the Real Estate Disposal and Development Plan.
Since its main vocation is residential, the building was not considered strategic and its disposal will allow the monumental front of Via Tosio to be enhanced. The operation will give rise to a real urban regeneration, as it will allow a property that has been abandoned for decades to be rearranged and returned to the city. Furthermore, with the money collected, the municipal administration will be able to regenerate other public buildings that require important interventions, in particular those used for social, scholastic activities or of particular monumental importance.
At the session race, open to the public, Two competitors participated and made numerous increases, starting from the minimum expected bid of 1.780.000 euros. The tender included a starting auction amount of 2.225.000 euros, with the possibility of making offers up to 20% lower, an option permitted by the municipal regulation which regulates sales procedures.
The property was awarded, with provisional award report, for the price of three million euros. Electronic checks are underway on the successful candidate's possession of the requirements, the outcome of which will depend on the feedback from bodies external to the Municipality. The verification of the requirements will be completed, approximately, within one or two weeks.
The final award report will then be prepared and the management decision to close the tender procedure will be adopted. Only with the closure of the latter will the documents be published, which will indicate who won the tender.
The operation was followed by the Heritage Enhancement sector of the Municipality of Brescia.
