Brescia, the online meeting “The young Montessori. From scientific feminism to the discovery of the child”, organized and promoted by the Equal Opportunities Department of the Municipality of Brescia in collaboration with the Brescia Montessori Association.
Civil coexistence is also measured by the recognition of the equal dignity of the parties involved. It is with this assumption that Maria Montessori substantiated, in her long scientific work, the important contribution of the female gender to the development of society. The topic will be debated during the conference: an opportunity for an extremely interesting excursus on the "practical" and "social" feminism of the well-known pedagogist, to make the public aware of the decisive contribution that Dr. Montessori made to the feminist movement, a less well-known aspect compared to his impressive work in the pedagogical field.
The event will be attended by Equal Opportunities Councilor Roberta Morelli, Carolina Montessori, great-granddaughter of Maria Montessori and Archivist at the Ami (Association Montessori International) and Rosa Giudetti, President of the Montessori Association Brescia.
