Brescia, Palazzo Loggia in purple for pancreatic cancer

Brescia, November is the month dedicated to pancreatic cancer awareness. Initiatives to spread will take place all over the world information on this little-known yet aggressive pathology. The Municipality of Brescia joins the campaign "Let's shed light on Pancreatic Cancer", promoted by the Nastro Viola Association for the World Day against Pancreatic Cancer: Palazzo Loggia will be lit up in purple on the night between 19 and 20 November.
Every year in Italy over 13 thousand people are affected by this disease and, from recent studies, it seems that the number is destined to grow. About 70% of cases develop in the head of the organ and are diagnosed when the situation is already very serious. This is why it is essential to promote prevention and research to combat this insidious enemy.
