Brescia, 60th anniversary of Virgilio Zanchetta's artisanal restoration activity

Brescia, the Mayor of Brescia Emilio Del Bono, received Virgilio Zanchetta at Palazzo Loggia, to celebrate the 60th anniversary of his artisan activity as a restorer, started in 1960, and still ongoing in the art workshop in Borgo Trento.

His skill in the particular technique of gold and silver gilding with fine gouache has brought him prestigious orders from Casa Montini in Concesio, the Diocesan Seminary and the Paolo VI Museum. Of particular importance in his career was also the restoration of paintings and art objects from the historical "Tronca" collection of Castel Sant'Angelo, dedicated to Giuseppe Garibaldi.
