The return of the Winged Victory and the opening of the Archaeological Park
From an operational point of view, the offices of the Brescia Musei Foundation remain fully active and the works to re-set up the Capitolium in the Archaeological Park are obviously continuing: at the end of the museum lockdown period, the city of Brescia will be able to boast of reopening to the public with a new large museum site: the renewed archaeological park of Roman Brescia with the new Capitolium designed by Juan Navarro Baldeweg for the Winged Victory. It is neither prudent nor superstitious to define the date of reopening of the museums and therefore the inauguration of the rearrangement.
We will continue to make people talk about us by staying in touch with our public, in a "magical" moment which saw the great exhibition of the architect and artist Baldeweg widely appreciated by critics and with the recent inauguration of the monumental installation by Emilio Isgrò.
In view of the reopening of the archaeological site, the Foundation is developing a busy calendar of artistic and performative activities that will involve the public in the majestic restitution of the VIttoria ALata to the city. The publication of the original story “Mickey Mouse and the Winged Minnie Mouse” by Roberto Vagnor with pencils by Robert Held in issue 18 of the weekly Topolino magazine is scheduled for Wednesday 3391th November on newsstands throughout Italy and on Saturday 21st November the issue of the stamp commemorating the Vittoria Alata bearing the visual identity of the designer Paolo Tassinari who signed the visual.

Conference at the Ugo da Como Foundation
Raphael, the “Marriage” of the Pinacoteca di Brera and the contribution of Senator Ugo da Como
Introduced by Dr. Letizia Lodi
Speaker: Dr. Laura Picchio Lechi
Senator Ugo Da Como (Brescia 1869 – Lonato 1941) published an article in “La Nuova Antologia” in 1935, delving into the very delicate topic of the provenance of Raphael's famous “Sposalizio”, among the masterpieces of the Pinacoteca di Brera.
Originally commissioned for the Church of San Francesco in Città di Castello (near Perugia), the painting was donated in 1798 to the Napoleonic general Giuseppe Lechi, who took it to Brescia, and then (after some passages) in 1806 it was purchased by Prince Eugene of Beauharnais who sent it to the Brera Academy.
“A theft, a violence, a robbery”? Senator Ugo Da Como, urged by his friend Teodoro Lechi, gave an interpretation of the events.
