Benevento, the “Obiettivo Tricolore” relay promoted by Alex Zanardi will be in the city on July 20th
The event plans for tomorrow from 9 to 30, at the Arch of Trajan, the setting up of the Objective 15 stand with the possibility of trying the handbike and approaching other Paralympic sports
Benevento, tomorrow 20 July the "Obiettivo Tricolore" relay will stop in Benevento, an event born from Alex Zanardi's project to carry a message of hope, strength and resilience around Italy. This was announced by the mayor Clemente Mastella and the sports councilor Enzo Lauro.
The event, which involves 70 Paralympic athletes who cross 54 regions in 18 stages, passing a single baton for over 3.000 km, will see the setting up of the Objective stand for tomorrow from 9am to 30pm, at the Arch of Trajan 15 with information and recruitment activities for new athletes, with the possibility of trying handbikes and approaching other Paralympic sports such as triathlon, archery and tennis. Representatives of the Michele Scarponi Foundation will also be present with activities to promote road safety, respect for the rules and for the most fragile of others.
At 10 a guided tour along the 30 Emperors circuit is scheduled, at 4 the arrival of the athlete Antonello Pizzi and the exchange of the baton with the athlete Lucia Nobis, whose departure for Montella is scheduled for 12 pm :30. The regional president of the Italian Paralympic Committee, Carmine Mellone, and the regional president of the Italian Cycling Federation, Pino Cutolo, will also be present at the event.
