Benevento: The traditional St. Joseph Fair opened this morning.
This morning, Friday 17 March, it was inaugurated by the mayor Clement Mastella, in the presence of the prefect Carlo Torlontano and the police commissioner Edgardo Giobbi, the traditional one Joseph's Fair which takes place, as usual, in the area behind the stadium Ciro Vigorito.
“This year – explained Mayor Mastella – we recorded a record number of exhibitors' participation, a total of 140 from even northern Italy, demonstrating the vitality and attractiveness of our initiatives. And the largest event in the livestock sector in Southern Italy that the city of Benevento is preparing to host next 13 and 14 April will also fit into this trend. Clear signs, therefore, of the strong growth underway after the dark years of the pandemic, as also confirmed by the data recently released by Istat and the CGIA of Mestre. Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to express my thanks to the exhibitors who enriched this edition of the S. Giuseppe Fair with their presence and to my collaborators and the municipal structure for the precious contribution given to the success of the event" .
The S. Giuseppe Fair will remain open to visitors until Sunday 19 March.
